The Journey of Universal Energy

Universal Energy is regarded as the primal and pure reality from which all existence originates. It is unimaginably subtle, symbolically described as being smaller than an atom. In its original state, it is free, infinite, complete, and untouched by any limitation. It is beyond desires, likes, and dislikes, and therefore remains free from suffering.

The Need for a Vehicle

To descend into the earthly plane and participate in the material world, Universal Energy required a suitable vehicle through which it could function.

The first requirement was a subtle sheath or covering that could establish a connection with the material world. This subtle covering, often referred to as the causal body, possesses a magnetic tendency toward earthly existence. It serves as an intermediary between pure Universal Energy and the gross material world.

However, the causal body alone could not function within the material world. A second vehicle was therefore necessary: a physical body capable of surviving and operating in the material realm.

Among the many life forms that emerged through evolution, the human body proved to be the most suitable vehicle. It possesses the intelligence, nervous system, brain structure, and sensitivity required to express the highest possibilities of consciousness.

Birth of the Human Being

When Universal Energy, together with the causal body, entered the womb of an ape-like ancestor, the first human being was born. Over countless generations, humanity evolved into its present form.

While the physical body evolved through nature, the causal body continued its journey within every human being, gradually manifesting as the human mind.

The Nature of the Human Mind

The mind is not merely a collection of thoughts. It is a storehouse of tendencies, emotions, memories, desires, attachments, expectations, fears, and impressions accumulated through experience.

The mind operates through dualities such as like and dislike, love and hatred, attraction and repulsion, success and failure, and pleasure and pain. These dualities form the foundation of human experience.

Initially, the mind is attracted to objects, people, relationships, possessions, status, and experiences. This attraction gradually develops into liking, love, and attachment.

Because of these tendencies, the mind becomes deeply rooted in the material world. It continuously seeks fulfillment through external things and therefore remains bound to worldly existence.

How Suffering Begins

The same mind that creates liking also creates disliking. Whenever something agrees with our preferences, we experience pleasure. Whenever something opposes our preferences, we experience pain.

Thus, suffering is not created by the world itself; it is created by the mind's reactions to the world.

Two people may face the same situation: one remains peaceful, while the other becomes disturbed. The difference lies not in the situation but in the condition of the mind.

The mind constantly divides existence into what it wants and what it does not want. This division gives birth to conflict, anxiety, fear, jealousy, anger, disappointment, sorrow, etc. As long as the mind continues to operate through likes and dislikes, suffering inevitably follows.

Why Material Achievements Cannot End Suffering

Many believe that suffering can be eliminated by acquiring wealth, power, relationships, knowledge, or recognition. Yet every achievement only creates new desires and expectations. One desire fulfilled gives rise to another, one attachment creates the fear of loss, and one success creates the anxiety of maintaining it.

Therefore, the mind remains trapped in an endless cycle. The root cause of suffering is not the absence of worldly achievements but the presence of the mind itself.

From infinite energy to human experience, and back to infinite stillness — the eternal journey of Universal Energy.

The Meaning of Liberation

Liberation does not mean escaping from the world, abandoning responsibilities, or withdrawing from society. It means freedom from the domination of the mind.

As long as the mind exists with its likes and dislikes, bondage continues. When the mind gradually loses its attachments, expectations, preferences, and aversions, its hold weakens. Eventually, it reaches a state of complete stillness. In that stillness, all likes, dislikes, desires, fears, and psychological suffering dissolve. The mind no longer functions as a separate entity.

Dissolution of the Mind

The final stage of spiritual evolution is the dissolution of the mind. This does not mean the destruction of intelligence or an inability to function in the world. Rather, it means the disappearance of the psychological structure that creates division and suffering.

When the mind dissolves, the causal body loses its individuality and merges back into its source. The being returns to its original condition, the Universal Energy from which it descended.

In Chivality, this ultimate condition is called Chivam, the state of Nothingness. Nothingness does not mean emptiness in the ordinary sense. It signifies the absence of individuality, negativity, likes, dislikes, and mental disturbances. Instead, it is a state filled with infinite Universal Energy.

The Ultimate Journey

The being descends from Universal Energy, becomes entangled in the mind, experiences the joys and sufferings of worldly existence, and finally returns to its original state through the dissolution of the mind.

This return to the original source is true liberation. It marks the end of suffering and the realization of one's eternal nature as pure Universal Energy.
